1 Rupee Convent: A Small Step Toward a Brighter Future

In an inspiring effort to make education accessible to every child, Sewa Sarwada has launched the 1 Rupee Convent. This unique initiative aims to provide quality education to children from underprivileged backgrounds for just 1 rupee per day — making learning affordable, accessible, and impactful.

In areas such as Rahate Nagar Toli and Sidhwar Gond Wasti, many families struggle to meet their daily needs and cannot afford to send their children to school. As a result, these children often spend their days helping their parents with household chores or collecting waste. Recognizing this difficult reality, Sewa Sarwada stepped in with a clear mission: to ensure that poverty is not a barrier to education.

The 1 Rupee Convent is more than just a school — it is a symbol of hope and a path to opportunity. Along with academic learning, children are taught values such as cleanliness, discipline, and community hygiene. The initiative also involves working closely with parents, encouraging them to adopt proper waste management practices and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment.

With just a single rupee per day, families are now able to send their children to a safe and nurturing environment where education is joyful, inclusive, and empowering. Sewa Sarwada believes that even this small contribution builds a sense of value and responsibility toward education in both children and their families.

And this is only the beginning. Through the 1 Rupee Convent, Sewa Sarwada is helping children take their first step toward education, integrate into mainstream society, and move closer to a brighter, more hopeful future.

Sewa Sarvada, founded by Khushal Dhak, is a transformative initiative
aimed at empowering underprivileged communities in Nagpur, India.
